$20,000 Pyramid Music
« on: December 31, 2003, 10:44:29 AM »
Hi,

I'm new to this board--just found it yesterday--and am a fan of game shows.  Sorry to post this here, but the "Archive" section would not allow me to post there.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a site where I can get the music that was played when someone won in the Winner's Circle on the old Pyramid.  I'm writing a sketch show that hopefully will be done in New York next year, and this would really help me out.

Thanks, and Happy New Year!

I know the site that has the clean-cut stereo version of the Pyramid theme, which is called "Tuning Up", but can't remember the site.

Let me look it up and tell you what it is when I find it.

You will enjoy it when you indeed have it, as I myself have a copy on file.

Well, If you have an extra $20.00 lying around, I suggest purchasing the 2nd GS Theme CD.  It has Ken Aldin's "Tuning Up" used on The $10,000/$20,000/Cullen $25,000/$50,000 Pyramid, as well as 19 other tracks that you may enjoy...

Indeed. Wasabe, welcome aboard, and while usually people don't get snippy about sharing around MP3's here, as a general rule we're rather protective of those tracks available on the two GS-theme CD's out there, as we would like to see them sell in the slight hopes that they may be convinced to favor us with another. So let me aid you in that process. Here's the link to the one containing the Pyramid track you want:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai.../qid=1073197314

And here's the link to the original volume, which among many other excellent tracks contains the theme to the 80's $25,000 Pyramid:

Happy purchasing! :)

On a related note--I was viewing the product information--and the sales rank for the 2nd CD was 11,409. (The 1st one is at 6,496).  Given all the product that Amazon sells; that's pretty good, isn't it?

Once you get into four digits, Amazon's sales rankings become a murky thing--especially with items that have been released for several years, since the rank only keeps track of recent purchase levels.

Thanks for all your help-

Especially you, clemon.

I actually already took your advice from the game show themes thread and purchased the CD at amazon.

Take care!

I got my copy from the GSN store.  Trust me, those themes are worth the price (particularly "Big Wheels").

I just went down to B&N to get mine. Yes. Definitely worth the money.
